FatCat

Biographie

*The Story*
Fat Cat began in 2020, when (from left to right in the picture) Thomas, Simon, Augustin, and Antoine started writing music together in a cellar in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. From those underground sessions came two EPs, “Decibels Please” (2021) and “Aliveness” (2023), which helped them carve out a place on the local scene and connect with their core audience. In 2024, the band made a clear choice: to see how far the project could go with their full focus. They stepped away from the spotlight and spent the year immersed in writing, pushing their sound further.

In 2025, Fat Cat returned with a fresh momentum, launching the "Year of the Cat" with a sold-out show at Le Senghor in February, an EP-release and some beautiful venues during summer.

The 13st of february 2026, they released their first album : U.

*The genre*
Fat Cat's musical genre blends alt-rock and pop rock with a clear purpose: to create music that's both powerful and emotionally honest. Each track captures a moment, whether it's a feeling or a person, told with sharp perspective and bold sound. Originally influenced by hard rock, the band has shifted over time toward more melodic, lyric-driven songwriting. They've developed a sound that balances intensity and melody.

*On stage*
On stage, the strong connection between Antoine, Thomas, Simon, and Augustin fuels a high-voltage energy. At a Fat Cat show, you're all in, you move, you shout, you feel it. No filters. Just sound, sweat, and emotions.
