Biographie
Tatête, also known as Nicolas Mouquet, is a singer-songwriter and musician based in Ghent. After exploring indie pop sounds with bands such as WUMAN, Soapstarter and Twin Toes, he felt the need to return to his roots. With this solo project, he reconnects with his first love: the acoustic guitar. In fact, Tatête is also the name of his childhood imaginary friend.
His music is defined by a minimalist indie folk style, both comforting and unsettling. In French and English, his intimate songs remind us that in a world filled with artificial perfection, it is essential to allow ourselves to simply be who we are.
On stage, Tatête’s music comes to life in an intimate and cozy atmosphere, with Nico joined by Hanne Vandekerckhove and Pierre Van Vlaenderen.
Tatête is currently working on his first EP.
